PlayPride LGBT Festival
A Competition of One-Act Plays
September 4 - 14, 2014


Join us for an evening of inspiring and entertaining stories from and about the LGBT community. Six playwrights will compete on behalf of their favorite charity for a chance to win $1,000 for a local LGBT community group. The winning play will be selected by audience vote. Each night audience members will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite play. On closing night, we tally the votes and on lucky nonprofit will walk away $1,000 richer. The contenders are:

Foreplay by Lon Rogers
(playing for Resource Center Dallas)

Trapped: A Confessional Tale by Bill Richard
(playing for the Turtle Creek Chorale)

Water by Christopher Soden
(playing for Soulforce)

Three Guys In A Bed by Randy Frank Eppes
(playing for the Turtle Creek Chorale)

Contain adult situations, strong language and nudity.

12th Annual New Play Competition
A showcase of literary talent
February 20 - March 2, 2014

Preview Night - February 20
Local playwrights compete for a chance to win $1,000 cash and bragging rights for the entire year. Audience members vote for their favorite one-act play - all six shows are staged each night (each show is no longer than 20 minutes). On closing night, we tally the votes and award the cash and prizes. It's an unprecedented night of original works.
